Doris and Steve met by fate, at the young age of 16. Steve was working at the local Safeway, and immediately caught her eye. Doris used to gush to her teenage girlfriends about “the cute guy at Safeway” until they finally exchanged numbers, and Steve began calling Doris everyday, for the next 11 1/2 years. They began dating in grade 12 and Steve managed to catch Doris completely off guard when he proposed at Harry Winston in Hawaii, in a room he had set up complete with roses, candles, and champagne. In planning their wedding they considered their courtship and opted for timeless and classic elements including pearls, lace, pale pink and champagne as theme colours.
