Love Story – Melanie & Eric

Elegant exposed brick and steel, evergreens, driftwood, and the sea – these are classic elements of an idyllic Pacific Northwest affair.  Thank you for sharing this beautiful wedding with us The Freckled Key Photography!

From the Photographer:

Eric was born and raised on Puget Sound in the refreshing and lively state of Washington. He moved to Texas as an adult and it was there, in the bustling city of Houston, that he met his bride, Melanie.

Over the years as their relationship developed, Eric would take Melanie to his home state to get away from the city and breathe in the cool sea air on The Sound as they shucked oysters and fished for salmon. When Eric and Melanie started planning their wedding, they both knew that the Puget Sound was the perfect location for their dream of an intimate wedding on the west coast.

Golden Gardens Bathhouse in Seattle served as the perfect backdrop for this intimate, coastal wedding. The exposed brick walls and steel framework provided the perfect amount of rustic charm for this otherwise classic and elegant wedding.

Melanie chose a simple navy and cheerful salmon pink as her primary colors, with navy in the suits, table runners, and print material and salmon pink for the bridesmaid’s dress as well as a touch in the bouquets and floral arrangements that were done by her family.  The Hotel Ballard provided a stunning backdrop for the preparation and First Look photos, continuing the classic and elegant theme for the day!  The Ballard Farmer’s Market whirred on the street below the hotel room, adding a small additional rustic element to the wedding day vibe!
