Who is Truvelle you ask?

Established in 2013, our small company is based in Vancouver, Canada. From scratch, we create made-to-order wedding dresses, with a heavy emphasis on design, fit, and quality. All dresses are designed, and hand made, with locally sourced fabrics and materials, here in Vancouver. Truvelle is a bridal line for girls who are unique, modern and interested in the unconventional. We aim to create effortlessly beautiful gowns that are miles away from the typical bridal “Costume” – we don’t make dresses that wear the girl, but instead something that dresses up an already beautiful individual.
Current colour obsession:
Cream and Grey
Wedding trend prediction for 2015:
Coloured dresses. This trend has been slowly creeping up on us, but I feel it’ll hit full force in 2015.

Now that Medina’s at their new location, I’ve been loving Catch 122’s brunch menu. They have a well designed space, brew intelligentsia coffee, and everything’s $12!

A description of your professional background :
Raised by a seamstress, Gaby was immersed in the bridal, fashion, and production industry her entire life. In 2010, she got her professional start designing and creating gowns for Ellebay Bridal Boutique, a wedding shop she co-ran with her mother. With a specialization in custom designed wedding gowns, Gaby spent three years building the Ellebay brand, solidifying her aesthetic, and perfecting her craft.
During the spring of 2013, Gaby left Ellebay to travel and plan Truvelle, which was officially launched October 2013. Since Truvelle’s launch, the brand has grown rapidly, with two Vancouver studios, eight retailers spread over three continents, and a strong online and industry presence. Truvelle’s next collection is scheduled for a September 2014 launch.
